finally back at last...after 5 gruelling days at olc..physically and mentally tiring.
was in a group cyclone...
first day we had land ex...trekked around ubin looking for stations...difficult...but overall very fun.. we trekked for around 7-8 hours with our full packs..tiring...very...but fun...the night walk was...not as scary as expected...because there were too many gis around...it seemed as if at every turn there was a gi...hahas...but anyways it was ok...then had solo night...built a basha...and fire...slept...by myself for a night..hahas. guess i was very lucky...i slept through the entire night...unlike many others who had difficulties sleeping...so there went day one...with all of us feeling the physical strain already...ouch...day two's next...
we started off from ubin...and headed all around singapore...urban orienteering..hahas...amazing race style...real fun...real tiring too..especially the bukit timah climb...grp leader yongsheng was dam zai...he helped stella carry her pack up lohs....pro lah..then we ended up outside VS nearing the end of the day, having completed all the stations...=) . and we had to carry one of our team members(swapped constantly) all the way to bedok jetty...totally pushed my limits...obviously my arms are weak...and they want me to carry some heavy people...
hais...after that more fun...-.- had to piggyback clarissa. omg. tiring. i wonder how my back survived day 2...hahas...then later...had some tentpitching...QMs were seriously crazy over LOVE THY EQUIPMENT...especially randall. well...slept in the tents for 2nd day...oh yeah..had sentry duty too..hahas..whole team stoned..
day3 .sea ex.. cool! we had a chance to kayak loh...kayak from nsc to big splash and back...not tired also funny...then whne our hand all seh liao...from the paddling, washing up...carrying kayaks...etc...we went back to school...and the rumour of having X-country materialized..hahas...we then ran 4.8km...was pretty happy with my run...coz i din stop...unlike the last time i ran...hahas...tired...then field cooking...haahs. we had fun ...hahas...saw jason n wanyoong...hope u all enjoyed the house comm camp..=)
day 4 up to kota...well. woke up very early..took bus to woodlands causeway...then all the way to malaysia...we had 20 mins to spend to eat...and buy food..hahas..we went nuts with buying food..yay! a chance for a change from all that dried stuffs. hahas...then to kota we went...with a hike and climb up to the campsite...took roughly 4-5 hours...but we had lotsa fun in the waterfall area..hahas...blizzard cyclone and hurricane lah...the others went on the wrong track...then din have a chance...=/...then field cookin came...we made some nice pasta! =) . hahas. proud of our cooks..and then we had 15 mins of thinking and practicing of our nr item. =). haahs. we ended up doing a bimbotic lame thingy..with sng tiak being the main actor..lol. now he's become the bimbo...as in THE bimbo..hahas.it was a really good campfire...thanks to dennis . =).
the sentry duty...was ..i din like it. we had to say things of others. our own teamates. i hate that kinda stuff. awkward.
anyways. we came back yesterday..thats day 5...washing up...hahas..priz presentation...congrats to blizzard! =) hahas. best team
then after that they all left..
and i crashed typhoon's dinner.
hahas.
thats why i felt kinda sad. although i was powerless to do anything. or maybe was it that i wasn't brave enough.
to say the truth...the activities in the camp were fun. but i din enjoy the camp thouroughly. cyclone seemed gelled on the surface...hahas. we managed to keep it very well...even our gis felt we were well bonded. =/ . that was never the case from day one...wouldnt like to put it this way. but i feel sad. and cause i'm writing in a blog not a diary. i won't say much..anyways...cyclone was fun at times.
